WHY
DESIGN THINKING?

Embrace the Future: AI for Design Thinking Practitioners

In an era where technology is rapidly reshaping the way we interact with the world, understanding the intricacies of AI is not just a skill, but a necessity for designers. The AI for Design Thinking Practitioners course delves deep into the heart of this ever dynamic and game-changing field, empowering you to navigate the complexities of service and product design in the age of AI.

Do you feel intimidated or overwhelmed by the speed at which AI is advancing and impacting our work as a Design Thinking Practitioner. Join our Design Thinking Practitioner Program on a journey into the age of A.I. We’ll explore how A.I. is shaping the way we work and the future of product and service design . In this program we will deep dive in the concepts of Design Thinking  and how and why A.I. is your partner, an opportunity to work better and smarter; what designing for A.I. entails, how we can augment our design process with the help of A.I. and much more.

Why is this knowledge vital? AI is not just a tool, it’s a paradigm shift, revolutionizing the design landscape. As a Design Thinker, make sure that you not only keep pace with the ever-evolving tech landscape but also lead the way in creating user experiences that are intuitive and intelligent.

The False Start!

How many of us jump to solutions as soon as we hear problems? Almost all of us!

More often than not, we get to the analysis of feasibility and viability checks of our ideas. However, seldom do we find out if Customers really want what we build for them! And in the process, we force our products and services into the throat of our customers. We thus end up ‘Doing The Things Right’ but alas… We miss out on an important aspect of ‘Doing The Right Things.’ This gets us to a catch 22 situation and we fail to deliver on rising customer expectations and thus end up in insurmountable tasks, trying to build a market where there is ‘no Market,’ and hence fail late; far from success.

Now that’s kind of a false start.

Start to Design the Design of the Design!

At the core of Design Thinking is ‘Desirability.’ It’s kind of a map that you may not know from the beginning exactly where it will take you, however, the destination will not only be innovative, but relevant! Design Thinking keeps in tune with Real Customers with Real Problems and hence attune you with Real Solutions. The problem of having a Market is not a problem at all because it begins with and is deeply rooted in people. Design Thinking is systematically developed to encourage experimentation, coupled with prototyping and feedback, allowing you to fail and fail fast, leading you to recognise and eliminate the weak areas so that you can succeed sooner.

Going ahead, Design Thinking will revolutionize the way solutions are built. The key trends will be not to solve problems, but to find them. And that is possible when Design Thinkers ask ‘Why’ more often than ‘How’ and ‘What.’

Design Thinking breaks the convention of what a good solution can be, instead, unleashes unmet market potential that leads to undiscovered possibilities and stay ahead of the innovation curve always.

WHAT IS IT IN FOR YOU?

Design Thinking is a world-class Innovation Framework popularly evangelized by the Stanford D-School. At SDTP, we train you on Design Thinking using experiential and blended learning pedagogy, discussing global and Indian case studies, picking up real life challenges and deploying Design Thinking.

It is a 5-week journey, with 1-hour sessions every Friday or Saturday evening. The sessions will be conducted by Global Design Thinking Practitioners and will include guest sessions from other practitioners who will share their design thinking journeys with us.
