SDTP did a project for an organization which is among the largest independent IT and Business Consulting Services firms around the globe. It is known to deliver strategic IT and business consulting, managed IT, systems integrations, intellectual property solutions, and business process services with an end-to-end portfolio of capabilities. It follows a local relationship model to collaborate with its clients. It is appreciated by a global delivery network that transforms the organizations digitally and brings positive changes to the results. The turnover of the organization in 2021 was $12.13 million, and currently the total headcount is 15,000 in India.

Problem Statement: How to implement and sustain innovation-driven culture in the organization using the Design Thinking framework?

As the river flows downwards from the mountain, the change flows downward from higher authorities to the different levels of employees. The entire director population of the organization underwent a Design Thinking Practitioners Course that explicitly focused on awareness, education, and implementation of Design Thinking in the organization.

The entire director population initiated the change they wanted to see in their teams, and the result came out to be incredible. Their innovation council comprising business leaders across different units participated enthusiastically in the program and were able to have a thorough understanding of the Design Thinking concepts and principles. 

Outcome: The business perspective of the organization underwent a complete shift resulting in upgrading the performance level with higher productivity. They were able to enhance customer centricity especially during pandemic and moved beyond mere project transactions to complete customer journey. The customers were happy, the employees were happy, resulting in higher profit margins.

SDTP is doing a project for one of the top and fastest private banks, which is ever-growing and has secured several national and international honours for different businesses. It is a service-driven, high-quality, and customer-centric bank that provides a broad spectrum of services, products, and technology-driven offerings. It is the bank that believes in building the finest network of retail banking across India. It caters to retail, MSME, and many corporate clients. The bank aspires to broaden its horizon in line with the strategy of creating the best quality customer experience at all customer touch points. The turnover of the bank in 2021 was 20041.84 Cr and the total headcount as of 2021 was 23800.

Problem Statement: To enhance customer loyalty, customer-centricity, and introduce innovative products and services based on the Design Thinking principles.

A total of 400+ decision makers underwent the Design Thinking course with concepts to applications working on business projects. The bank believes that Design Thinking is not just the visualization of aesthetics but business innovation, where they should think, operate, innovate, and devise efficient and innovative ways to gain a competitive edge in the industry. Design Thinking made it put the people first in the equation, and it led to focus on the solution, which helps improve the success rate of innovation to strengthen the entire strategy. 

Outcome: they opened up a concept called Garage wherein the raw ideas could be incubated and nurtured to disrupt or become a game changer. It resulted in a year on year jump in the net profit of Rs. 250 Cr.

SDTP did a project for a pharmaceutical company whose goal is to provide good health to its customers and is the leader in its industry. They aim to speed up the accessibility of innovative and affordable medicine to every nook and corner of the country. In its journey, the company has been acclaimed for outstanding performance and achievement by multiple leading organizations. The company focuses on bringing change in the core processes. The entire team, including quality and manufacturing teams, visualize, produce, and launch transformative solutions to improve the manufacturing processes and core quality. Its annual revenue for 2021 was $2.594 billion, a 12% increase from 2020 and the total number of employees are 21650.

Problem Statement: To enhance the entire internal stakeholder management by offering innovative solutions and improving the stakeholder experience. 

The entire finance team based in India, Europe, North and South America, and the CIS countries underwent the Design Thinking course. The team deep dived in the process to move across the concepts swiftly. They firmly believed that a mindset change is a crucial need to successfully implement change, and be future-ready and agile at the same time.

Outcome: The program resulted in a higher Customer Satisfaction Index and reduced TAT by 17 per cent. It also resulted in process efficiency and some of the processes were reinvented and recreated to improve customer satisfaction.

SDTP did a project for a German MNC, that comes with a long and successful medical device history, currently offers a wholesome solution to diagnose and treat ophthalmic diseases. The company encourages innovative visualization solutions in the field of microsurgery. Their objective is to enable physicians and customers to constantly enhance treatment results through applying efficiency and innovation to new products. Their annual turnover is 1.65 billion euros in 2020/21, an increase of 311.3 million euros from the previous year. The total headcount of the company is 35,375 as of Dec, 2021.

Problem Statement: To redesign and reimagine their channel distribution and efficiency.

The entire senior management including the M.D. and the business head took Design Thinking as a tool to ideate various possibilities. The entire process helped the team to come up with a completely connected and integrated approach to be on the forefront with brand new data management innovations across workflow solutions, devices, and applications. It helped bring their digital offerings to another level to support the customers and leverage the value of an integrated environment.   

Outcome: EBITDA increased by 33 per cent and the firm’s net worth increased by 30 per cent.
